Colin Rose is a fellow of The Royal Society of Arts, a Senior Member of the Royal Society of Medicine and a member of the British Association for the Advancement of Science. He was a founder member of the UK Campaign for Learning – a collaboration between the UK Government and Industry. He wrote the original book Accelerated Learning, he has been researching how people learn over 20 years. He has created the teaching and learning methodology for EduScience – a large EU-funded programme to improve teaching of Science and Maths in all 30,000 schools in Poland. In the UK he created learning skills programmes called CHAMPS – introduced in approximately 40% of secondary schools. In addition, the Accelerated Learning company that Colin founded has produced a pre-school learning programme called FUNdamentals which is in use in over 100,000 homes. He has also created very successful series of language courses. There are now 20 English language schools in Poland under the name Institute of Colin Rose. The basic Accelerated Learning method synthesises the work of over 100 key educational researchers and is a simple model of learning that makes effective learning a skill within the reach of everyone.
